Bisys Hedge Fund Investors’ Data Lost
Bisys Group Inc. is reporting that a backup tape containing information pertaining to hedge fund investors was stolen along with an employee’s truck.
Backup tapes with the information, which included the social security numbers of 35,000 individuals, were being moved June 8 between the Roseland, New Jersey-based Bisys RK business unit to another facility, said Amy Conti, a Bisys spokeswoman.
